Installation of the SideJacker Trailer Hitching System is a straight-forward, easy to attach process.
Step 1)
Begin by attaching the unit to the trailer tongue (bumper pull trailers). The unit may be attached by the bolt on method, with holes and bolts provided, or welded on. Note: Welding the unit on will result in some finish damage. For ease of long-term maintenance access we recommend bolting on the unit.
Step 2)
Remove the trailer jack from its' mounting hole and reposition and bolt it in the mounting hole in the Sidejacker unit.
If your trailer has a vertical bulkhead nest to the SideJacker unit when installed, such as, a horse or cargo trailer front, a “side wind” trailer jack may be required.
Step 3)
Cover the original trailer jack mount hole with the new treaded metal step plate.
Installation is complete. It's that fast and easy to upgrade a trailer to this amazing NEW system!
The bumper pull model fits most trailers but not all very short-tongued trailers. The bumper pull model is 10-1/2" deep with a front width of 17-1/2" and 24" at the rear. Your trailer will need a tongue attachment location that will allow the unit to set within those parameters. The SideJacker Bumper Pull unit has an angle of 50 degrees, will fit other trailer tongues of slightly varying angle degrees with a little give and take of the unit placement.
